European Antibiotic Use on the Increase
A recent study indicates that antibiotic use has severely increased in several European countries, despite the average cost of the antibiotics more than doubling. The most rapid growth of antibiotic use was for "recently introduced drugs or drugs that are still being heavily promoted by their manufacturers."
