Title: "What Your Doctor Won't Tell You About Cancer" Category: Patient Education Narrator: Eddie Albert Publisher: Malibu Video, P.O. Box 6328, Malibu, CA 90265 (310) 456-5186 Publication: 3 Video Set

Cancer is a frightful subject. When cancer strikes (i.e., when it is diagnosed), most families are unprepared to make the important decisions foisted upon them by their doctors. Time is short and decisions are made in haste. The videos discuss the causes of cancer and assert that prevention is simply not a part of conventional allopathic oncology. The program points the finger at the AMA, National Cancer Institute, and the American Cancer Society as failing to put forth true information about cancer that could prevent thousands of unnecessary deaths every year.

As doctors of chiropractic, we are teachers. It is our highest calling to help sick people get well and help people stay well. Doctors should be aware of the risks of cancer and educate our patients. The video shows an interview with a well-known oncologist. In answer to the question, "What causes brain tumors?" the medical doctors replies, "I have no idea." With so many environmental causes of cancer in the United States, chiropractors should be teaching what those are and underscore the fact that a healthy lifestyle prevents cancer.

This is a well-researched and professionally produced set of video tapes. Many studies are cited, oncologists are seen on camera, and case studies are presented that show the devastating effects of allopathic cancer treatments. It is an interesting and informative series. Actor Eddie Albert narrates the series that includes Norman Cousins, and Dr. Linus Pauling. Doctors who have videos running in the reception room would be doing a great service to run these videos periodically. The videos are quite professional and would enhance the image of the office.

I quite enjoyed these videos. Cancer prevention is not a glamorous subject, and I must admit I was not excited about reviewing this one. However, I was very impressed with how interesting and informative they are. I became engrossed in watching and realized that they would be very informative for my patients. In stressing a prevention of disease philosophy in my practice, this fits right in.
