Death Valley Trot
Okay, say you need some exercise but marathons just aren't
challenging anymore. You'd like to run from San Francisco to New
York, but you just don't have the time. Well, you masochists, we
have just what your looking for. Why not run/walk/stumble from
Death Valley (282' below sea level) to the top of Mt. Whitney
(14,494') and back again (292 miles) in mid-summer heat of 130o?
Ha! No? Well, two earthlings will do just that beginning July 20;
in fact, they did it back in 1989 (don't ask). Of course a
chiropractor will be there with adjustments, monitoring of vital
signs, and nutritional advice.
